Recently, the renowned author, publisher, motivational speaker, and the leading sales trainer in the home improvement industry, Rodney Webb offered an interview to the Founder, CEO of Roofing Insights, Dmitry Lipinskiy on the secrets behind his success. The Best In The World (BITW) award winner, Rodney used the interview to encourage and inspire progress in the audience by narrating how he strides from a humble start as a telemarketer to the height of a multimillionaire business owner. His story is touching and at the same time inspiring to make you want to start something of your own, today. He talked about the fall that left him with just $15 and his rise to millions. Rodney also emotionally recalled how gambling once drowned him in debt.
Even when he bounced back from debt services, he faced the odd of repackaging himself because of his color, and doing things differently, to be accepted in the community he belongs. His story tells you that everything is possible if you spend more time focusing on practice, rather than performing. Instead of being in a hurry to go out there and start a business, he advised to gather business skills first.
Rodney was humble when asked how he feels being the BITW. He said BITW was just a trophy. He gets the best return, when his clients compliment him by saying; “Thank you for making me who I am today” another saying; “I grew a million dollar business because of you”. Others will say thank you for changing my life or thank you I bought a new house, and I paid cash because of your business inspirations and so on. That according to him, is the real motivation.
