Top 10 Essential Roofing Business Tools

Thank you for taking the time today to read our blog! Don’t forget to subscribe to all our social media platforms so you never miss a post or video!

Ten essential tools that every roofer needs

There are ten essential tools that every roofer needs. Read below to discover which ten you need in order to run a successful business.

    1. Website

Your website will not make your business, but it will certainly break it if you have an ugly webpage.

Like Dmitry says, “You’re going to be missing out on a lot of business” if you have a poor website.

A website is an important aspect of your business that you need to feel confident in. Just like the suit you wear to a business meeting, your website is just as essential. Companies looking to hire you will look at your website. If you leave a good impression, they will be that much more apt to hire you.

And just like any profitable company these days, you need to be ready to conduct business online. Call your consumers to action with clear links where they can get in contact you.

Part of ability is availability. Be available to your customers!

    2. CRM (Customer Relationship Management)

CRM is integral to any business in 2020. You need to be able to interact with your clientele easily and conveniently.

JobNimbus is Dmitry’s favorite, but there are a multitude of other companies you can subscribe to.

    3. Accounting Software

Another necessity is having good accounting software. Knowing your numbers and then using them to your advantage is everything. QuickBooks is one of the best in the industry.

    4. Impressive In-House Presentation

SumoQuote is a service that you can use that will make your business more professional and presentable. SumoQuote arranges information into a database that then allows you to make an educated and informed decision when quoting prices to clients. This is a great way to wow clients in face-to-face meetings.

    5. Products to Install

Creating strong partnerships with your product suppliers is a must, but make sure you believe in their products. It doesn’t behoove you to go cheap on products to save you money.

You will make more money in the long-term by giving customers outstanding and durable products.

    6. Find Accessory Services to Sell

You’re a roofer. You go to five different houses a week. That’s good for you, but you can increase your profits even more without doing any extra work.

A great example is to partner with a gutter company. Offer your clients the gutter company’s service, then negotiate kickback bonuses with the gutter company so that you both benefit if your client hires them.

You’re seeing a lot of houses. Might as well maximize that potential.

    7. Strong Lead Generation Strategy

Roofing Insights loves to analyze these services and blow the roof off the scammers (WE’RE LOOKING AT YOU HOMEADVISOR!!!).

There are many good marketing services that can find you good leads and not charge you exorbitant rates. Don’t be afraid to invest in highly-reputed companies.

Contact Roofing Insights today for good lead generators in your area!

    8. Insurance

There is no skirting this reality: you have to be fully insured when your team walks on a job site. Accidents happen and you don’t want to be out of business because you neglected to protect yourself.

Money is tight, so buying the cheapest insurance will work for a little while. But once you get bigger, commensurately buy insurance so that you’re never staring down the barrel of a sizeable debt.

    9. Good Tools

Picasso didn’t paint with a tree branch, and Lance Armstrong didn’t ride a bike with training wheels!

Your business needs quality tools in order to succeed. That doesn’t mean blow the budget and walk out of Home Depot with $50,000 worth of equipment. But don’t go cheap, and always make sure your employees have the adequate resources to efficiently do a job.

    10. Financing Services

There are even more ways to make your money work for you. Offering payment plans to your customers is now becoming more popular. Instead of having customers pay a lump sum all at once, you can offer them monthly payments through financing companies like Enhancify.

Then when the customer pays off their loan, Enhancify will give you a commission. This method generates more business and also is a way to make more money over time.
