While growing up in Russia, Dmitry always had ambitions to be a teacher. He loved the idea of giving back to future generations and passing on knowledge. To Dmitry, the idea of helping others superseded any of his personal ambitions. Ultimately this lead to his ‘Roofs for Teachers’ charity, but this path started long ago.
As Dmitry’s life evolved, so too did his plans.
Fifteen years ago, Dmitry came to the United States. He didn’t know much English, but he knew how to work hard and achieve his goals.
Fast-forward back to the present.
Dmitry has now developed a near-fluent proficiency in English, is owner of one of the most successful roofing companies in Minnesota, and has a meteorically rising YouTube channel.
He will be the first to admit that his success was never guaranteed. When he hopped on a plane years ago, the only thing Dmitry knew was that he was going to get a chance to bring his American Dream to fruition.
It explains why today, even after all his triumphs, Dmitry exercises an admirable humility. You’ll never see him behave arrogantly because his only goal is to make those around him better.
It’s why he and Roofing Insights are proud to introduce the new Roofs for Teachers program.
This new program has been designed by Dmitry to pay homage to both a profession he dearly respects, and also to his sisters back home who continue to empower and educate the next generation of Russians.
